The constellation of Libra ("balance" in Latin) is crossed by the sun between the last week of September and the first twenty of days of November.
This constellation was well-known in mesopotamia with the name of "Zi-ba-neither-your", which also means "the Balance", and was associated with Samhash or Utu, God of the Sun in sumerian and babylonian mythologies.
Already in greco-roman mythology, originally Libra comprised of the constellation of Scorpio, representing its clamps, although later it happened to be a constellation by own right, representing the balance maintained by Astrea, virgin Goddess of justice.
The been born ones under the sign of Libra are people who look for the balance and the harmony in all the aspects of their life.
Usually they are kind and right people, with a marked sense of  honor and honesty.
The Libra natives loves the beauty and the art in all their forms. Literature, music, sculpture, painting... usually are among their interests...
They are very sociable people, and they poseeen a great diplomacy, being great mediators... also dominate  the art of the suggestion, using often the words to obtain what they wish.
Libra people also tends to the romanticism, it could not be of another way being as they are harmony and beau ti lovers, being  pacific and lasting  their relations in general.
They are people without prejudices, although they avoid all sullen or vulgar.
Its greater problem often is the indecision... the doubts can create serious problems to them, specially when the planetary positions are adverse.
On the other hand they must also control its tendency to lose itself too much in the worldly and sensual pleasures, becoming shallow.
Libra loves the company, although also they know to value the moments of solitude and tranquillity, that usually dedicate to their aesthetic likings (art, music, Literature...).
Usually they enjoy pleasant pacific surroundings as much in its home as in its place of work... although often they persecute with as much eagerness this situation of balance that they are able to sacrifice their own interests for the sake of an pleasant coexistence.
The Libra people usually are serious and calm , refined, loving  the honesty and defenders of the truth.
They don´t support the treason, or this one directed towards they themselves or another person, and they will not doubt in condemn what they consider an injustice.
Libra children already show a great sensitivity and usually are calm and comprehensive, usually more mature of which to his age it corresponds.
Libra is so sociable that they are understood well with any other sign, although is specially compatible with the rest of air signs: Gémini and Acuarius, and with the signs of Leo and Sagitarius. The Earth signs usually offer to Libra an “anchor” to the reality, whereas those of water help them to  their great sensitivity and emotions flow with greater naturalness.
On the other hand, already in a more practical ways, Libra quite often are dedicated to the law, being many of them great judges and lawyers, but its great sensitivity and its love by the beauty also incline to them towards the world of the art.
They are also saving, although nonavaricious people, having a great sense of the balance administrating their money.
Physically Libra usually is well formed, slim and  harmonious people .
They must have care with repressed emotions, that will affect the low part of the back.
The Libra natives must use their innate sense of the balance and justice to know in what moment they must give the arm to twist, in their personal relations, and in as no, because not always it is good  sacrificing the own interests, although it means to save disputes or to obtain a temporary harmony. That same innate sense of justice and  balance must be used by them at the time to take decisions, surely and without leaving doubts them they flood them.

La constelación de Libra ("balanza" en latín) es cruzada por el sol entre la última semana de septiembre y la primera veintena de días de noviembre.
Esta constelación era conocida en mesopotamia con el nombre de "Zi-ba-ni-tu", el cual también significa "La Balanza", y era asociada con Samhash o Utu, dios del Sol en las mitologías sumeria y babilónica.
Ya en la mitología grecorromana, originariamente Libra formaba parte de la constelación de Escorpión, representando sus pinzas, aunque más tarde pasó a ser una constelación por derecho propio, representando la balanza sostenida por Astrea, Diosa virgen de la justicia.

Los nacidos bajo el signo de Libra son personas que buscan el equilibrio y la armonía en todos los aspectos de su vida.
Suelen ser personas bondadosas y justas, con un marcado sentido del honor y la honradez.
Los libra aman la belleza y el arte en todas sus formas. La literatura, la música, la escultura, la pintura...suelen estar entre sus intereses...
Son personas muy sociables, y poseeen una gran diplomacia, siendo grandes mediadores...también dominan el arte de la sugerencia y la sugestión, utilizando a menudo las palabras para obtener aquello que desean.

Los Libra aman la compañía, aunque también saben valorar los momentos de soledad y tranquilidad, que suelen dedicar a sus aficiones estéticas (arte, música, literatura...).
Suelen disfrutar de un entorno pacífico y agradable tanto en su hogar como en su lugar de trabajo...aunque a menudo los libra persiguen con tanto afán esta situación de equilibrio que son capaces de sacrificar sus propios intereses en aras de una convivencia agradable.
Los libras suelen ser personas serias y tranquilas, refinadas, amantes de la honradez y defensores de la verdad. No soportan la traición, ya sea ésta dirigida hacia ellos mismos o hacia otra persona, y no dudarán en denuncia a los cuatro vientos todo aquello que consideren una injusticia.
Ya de niños los Libra muestran una gran sensibilidad y suelen ser tranquilos y comprensivos, normalmente más maduros de lo que a su edad corresponde.
Los Libra son tan sociables que se entienden bien con cualquier otro signo, aunque son especialmente compatibles con el resto de signos de aire: Géminis y Acuario, y con los signos de Leo y Sagitario. Los signos de Tierra suelen ofrecer a los Libra afienzamiento a la realidad, mientras que los de agua les ayudan a que su gran sensibilidad y emociones fluyan con mayor naturalidad.
Por otro lado, ya en terrenos más prácticos, los Libra suelen dedicarse muy a menudo al derecho, siendo muchos de ellos grandes jueces y abogados, pero su gran sensibilidad y su amor por la belleza les inclina también hacia el mundo del arte. Son también personas ahorradoras, aunque no avaras, teniendo un gran sentido del equilibrio a la hora de administrar sus bienes.

Físicamente los Libra suelen ser personas bien formadas y de rasgos armoniosos, esbeltos.

Deben de tener precaución con las emociones reprimidas, que se afectarán en gran medida a la parte baja de la espalda.
Los libra deben de utilizar su innato sentido del equilibrio y la justicia para saber en qué momento deben dar el brazo a torcer, en sus relaciones personales, y en cual no, pues no siempre es bueno sacrificar los intereses propios, aunque ello signifique ahorrarse disputas o conseguir una armonía temporal.
Ese mismo sentido innato de la justicia y el equilibrio deberán utilizarlo a la hora de tomar decisiones, con seguridad y sin dejar que las dudas los inunden.

I love photography. By now I only have been in front of the camera, as model...but this summer my mom has give me my first reflex digital camera as gift and I was trying to learn to use it and make photography.
I worked as model many time, since I was a teenager, although I´m not still work as model, I continue doing some colaborations/works with photographers. For me modelling, in front of the camera, is like a play, is a way to do art and spread feelings and sensations.
A good photography, for me, is a it is a joint work between the photographer and the model.
Photography not only refects beauty...a good photography have to transmit something.
As I love modelling, people and portrait photography is my favorite category and since weeks ago i want to make a big feature about this, so here it are...

After two hours searching and looking photography I decided that this is only the first people and portrait photography feature...soon the second part...there are really great photography here in DA!!!

I´m glad to say that a new community has born
I began this project with a lot of ilusion and the wonderful and accepted to be admins with me
I want to say thank´s to this wonderful and nice women.

We want to share our knowledges about ancient religion and to promote art related to the pagan theme...but we don´t want a restrictive community and for this reason environment, fantasy, emotional and some dark art (nothing too bloody or gore please) are welcomed too.

We will try to maintain updated the journal with interesting articles related to pagan subjects and we want too to make special challenges or events to special dates as the sabbaths or esbaths...

Here you have our first article, a little introduction about "what is paganism"

PAGANISM

The word paganism comes from Latin "pagus" (field) and "paganus" ("farmer", "field man").
The "pagan" term began to be used of contemptuous form when the Christianity became official religion of the Roman Empire. In their majority the Christians lived the "great" cities, for this reason was why they began to talk with this term about to the habitants of the countryside that still continued professing politesist religions that revered the nature.
With time the pagan term got even to mean "person without religion" or "heretic".
According to the influence and the power of the Christianity grew, the term "paganism" increased its negative connotations, relating it to the black magic, the Satanism or cult to the devil, the heresy...
Nowadays still pervive that negative association of the paganism with the cult to the Devil or the witchcraft (understanding this also in its negative conception).
In the paganism the Christian figure of the devil or Satan does not exist, so it would be ridiculous situation that we adored a being in whom we do not create.

The paganism is not a cult to badly either.
At the moment we could define the paganism or neopaganism as a life form, in addition to a religion, that is based on the old preChristian pagan religions that adored the nature and their aspects.
Pagans mainly took deities and traditions from European pagan religions, such as the celtic, the Nordic or the Egyptian mythologyes.
But our beliefs are not limited a single pantheon, and many pagans take divinities from pagan traditions of other countries.
The divinities do not stop being representations or to symbols of aspects of the nature and the own one to be human.
The pagans we think that the divinity is present in all the nature and its beings, and we revered it in all its aspects, masculine and the feminine one.
Many pagans do not have a concrete pantheon of Gods, and adores to the God and the Goddess, like representations of the masculine and feminine principle of the nature and the universe, complementary and present in everything.
The paganism reveres the nature and its manifestations.
The nature is our patrimony and the paganism implies to respect it, to live in harmony with agreed her and to its cycles.
As pagan we think that all badly which we do to the our planet (although principle of nature would include all the universe well-known and stranger, doing reference to all infinitely) we do us we ourself.
Therefore the paganism and the ecology go united.
The personal experience is extremely important in the paganism, do not exist intermediary to connect to us with the divinity. The personal understanding and interpretation of the divinity are unique for each pagan. The paganism is a nonhierarchized religion (although as in all the religions or spiritual movements people that try to be like only connoisseurs of the truth, gurús or intermediaries have appeared).

The magic is inside everyone of us, the capacity of spiritual union with the nature and the cosmos also. Of course that are people who have been more time in the way, but the wisdom is not patrimony of one single one or a few, are something for everyone who truly wishes to find it, the teachers exist within the paganism, but simply like guides, aids or introducers, not like superior or special beings.
Paganism celebrate different rites that harmonize to us with the cycles of the nature: we celebrate the changes of phase of the Moon and the Sun, the solstices and equinoxes... since they represent the eternal sacred spiral of birth, maturity, oldness, death and Renaissance.
The belief in more than a life is also characteristic of the paganism. We considered each life like a learning opportunity and spiritual development to arrive at a kind of comunión or nirvana with the universe.
Also we belive in the existence of an intermediate place between one and another life, called by many "Summerland" or "the Earth of the Eternal Summer".
Even so in the paganism there are a great variety of traditions and beliefs (although all have a same base).
We don´t belive in religion like something dogmatic and closed, but as something fruit of the experience and the study.
We respect all the religions and beliefs, as long as they don´t try to be "the only" valid form.
For us all the divinities are representations or aspects of the same universal principle.
We looked for tolerance, and we did not practice the proselitism (that is to say, we don´t search followers or supporters nor tried to turn to anybody to our beliefs.
In many pagan traditions the feminine divinity have a special importance, partly by the "female concept" of the Earth, the biological connection between feminine and the nature due to the lighting capacity and because the feminine divinity or the feminine aspect of the divinity "has been more despised" in main and the majority religions monotheists.
Also we would like to make clear that although the magic (treated as the handling about energies) is part of the paganism, but not main it, since there is much confusion about this point and the paganism and esoterism are often confused.
The main purpose of this community is unite to people interested in the paganism, share our art and our knowledges... the beauty of our beliefs, and of course, have fun
